INVITATION TO THE 2020 EMMAUS HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMMING COMPETITION
 
You are invited to the 5th annual student-created and student-run Emmaus High School Programming Competition. It will be held on Thursday, February 20th, 2020  in the Emmaus High School Multimedia Room. Emmaus High School is located at 500 Macungie Ave., Emmaus, PA.

8:30 Arrive at Emmaus High School
8:30 - 9:00 Set Up in the Multimedia room (Snacks available)
9:00 - 12:00 Programming Competition
12:15 - 1:00 Lunch (Pizza and drinks)
1:00 - 1:30 Awards and Prizes
 
General Information:
  • Each team of 4 students is allowed to have 2 computers which you are expected to bring.  Schools may register either one or two teams, no more based on space availability. 
  • All programming languages are permitted as long as you are using software resident on your computers.  Input can be done from the keyboard or from a file using any delimiter you wish.
  • You may bring any electronic or printed reference materials including the API for your language, but you may not use pre-written code. Use of the internet is NOT permitted.
  • There will be 10 problems to solve within the 3 hours. Programming problems will vary in level of difficulty so all students can be challenged and experience some success.  
 
Please fill out the online registration form. Another form asking for team names and students will be sent closer to the event. Bring a check payable to “Emmaus High School”  or cash that covers the cost of $20 per team.  Call or text Beth Stoudt at 484-332-8283 with any problems the day of the contest.
