About Us

Your local CS Community

Computer Science is a young and rapidly changing field, challenging its practitioners and educators to remain current and be quick to adapt in order to achieve their full potential. Our group offers a forum for the exchange of curriculum ideas, sparking collaboration among and between educators in secondary schools and universities in the greater Philadelphia area, so as to help fuel continued improvement in the teaching of Computer Science. We promote Computer Science education and support K-16 educators by raising public awareness of Computer Science and its many subfields, and the value of a Computer Science education to the next generation of students.
 
Our membership lives or teaches in Bucks, Montgomery, and Delaware counties as well as Philadelphia, PA.

2027 Annual CSTA Conference

Did you enjoy the CSTA 2026 Annual Conference? We owe the incredible variety of cutting-edge sessions to our dedicated reviewers, who look over session proposals and help build the foundation of the conference. With so many great session proposals, we need reviewers to help us choose the best for CSTA 2027. Help us build the conference you want to attend; apply to review!

We are now accepting submissions to present at the CSTA 2027 Annual Conference, set for July 8–11, 2027, in Anaheim, CA! We're accepting submissions on a wide variety of topics for breakout sessions, workshops, mini-sessions, and poster presentations. Whether you've presented at a CSTA event before, or are looking to present for the first time, submissions are due Oct. 25, 2026!

Have an idea but aren't sure how to start? The CSTA Conference Committee and veteran presenters will be holding office hours to provide you with individualized support.
